Double infraction = red light

As you can see in the video, I waited patiently for the light to turn green before crossing — even though the signal was partly hidden by the car. Meanwhile, another cyclist went straight through the red light without slowing down, followed by a scooter.

I really think one of the growing problems in Paris is that traffic laws are too often treated as optional. Whether you’re driving, cycling, or on a scooter, the rules are there to protect everyone. When there’s little enforcement, some people begin acting as if anything is allowed.

Paris works best when we all share the road — and respect each other enough to respect the lights too. 🚲🚦.
