28 Mar, 2026 - 1 month ago - on Florida Highway 19 On March 28, 2026 we were traveling northbound on 19 in an 8 cyclist pace line. We were traveling at a speed of 20+mph, staying within the shoulder (because we didn't have a proper bicycle lane) and following the rules of the road. A 2024 or newer Ford Ranger FX4 FL license plate 34E IBD passed us yelling, the front passenger was leaning out the front window apparently filming the incident with his phone. The rear passenger leaned out of his window with a gun and shot at us, we heard two pops from the gun. There were no bullets thankfully. All of us were pretty rattled. We have all made statements with the Howey Police Department with the intention to prosecute.
