Poorly Marked Bike Lane across Intersection – Better to Use the Travelling Lane then rejoin the bike lane once passed junction
8 Aug, 2018 - 8 years ago - on De Castella Drive Riders are advised to leave the bike lane before this intersection and use main travelling lane until they have passed this junction and then rejoin the bike lane. Due to poor design of the bike lane and lack of visual signalling (eg paint) its not totally clear to motorists that a bike lane runs across the intersection and that drivers should expect bicycle riders to ride across the path of vehicles waiting to turn.
